The birth of dolphin baby Eva in May 2018 was a great delight to us. It is hardly possible to put into words how happy we are. We are glad to share the most beautiful pictures and backgrounds here on our blog for our readers. We hope that these pictures will put a smile on your face as well.
Karin Schöttner can barely describe what she was allowed to experience with her daughter Elena. “Elli”, what she is called by her family members, is heavily disabled since birth. The 13 year old can’t eat, talk or walk. According to Karin Schöttner, the dolphin therapy from two years ago was a huge success. Now, thanks to the help of her big sister and many donors, the dream of a second dolphin therapy came true.
Now that we are back home for almost one week, we feel like packing our bags and coming back again. We felt so comfortable and Emily has progressed amazingly. Our physiotherapist here at home is totally in awe! Emily is much more relaxed through her legs, and her head control has also improved significantly. We are trying to apply the tips from Daniil and Yagmur here at home.
I have off and dad too, Leni and Hanni have to go to school. At home we get everything ready for Turkey. As promised, Hanni may cut dad’s hair. She opts for a short hairstyle with BD logo for Big Daddy at the back. In the evening there is a school concert of Hanni and Leni in the City Theatre. Hanni plays horn and Leni plays tuba. For me it was already the sixth dolphin therapy back to back. It was a little bit exhausting for me because I was having either physiotherapy or cranial therapy afterwards. The therapy has always helped me very much after six months. Then I was also able to concentrate more easily and to improve my ability to learn. I personally always thought the therapy was super because I could do so much with the dolphins. Read the rest of this entry
We were there!!!! The journey to Turkey was very exciting for us because both kids hadn’t flown on a plane before. Thank God everything worked out without problems.
On the first day we had the meeting with our dolphin-therapist Barbara. She explained which therapies would be executed. There were three therapies, physical therapy, cranio-sacral therapy and of course Luke’s dolphin lady „Daisy“. Read the rest of this entry

The half-paralyzed girl from Neustadt was able to swim with dolphins. The therapy shows its first successes.
The wet snout is tickling Marie’s feet. The six-year old girl is especially ticklish there. No respect is being paid to that. Marie is supposed to simply laugh.
So, it is now time for the Report of our third Dolphin Therapy, from 09.09 – 23.09.2011, in the ONMEGA Dolphin Therapy Center in Marmaris, Turkey!
After the very, very good experiences we had in the Dolphin Therapy Center in 2008 and 2009, we were certain that we would return. In December our bookings were made and we were already looking forward……
On 09.09.2011 at long last the time had come, the aircraft flew us south, to the dolphins !!
As Leon had his therapy bicycle with him this time, we had booked a special Transfer through the Therapy Center, which worked very well. After a short wait we drove from the airport in Dalaman straight to the Club Turban Hotel in Marmaris. We were so pleased with the Hotel last time we decided to stay there again. Everything there is suitable for children and the disabled, and the staff is really kind.
The weather was, apart from 2 rainy afternoons, super; sunshine and a temperature of 40°C, not so hot as in July. Just right for us after the bad Summer we had at home.
After 2 days relaxing on the beach, on Monday we started Leon’s therapy program. We had met Barbara on the platform the day before….. Leon recognized Barbara straight away, we were all happy and the atmosphere was warm and friendly as it had been in previous years. As if we had never left. Read the rest of this entry
