Now that we are back home for almost one week, we feel like packing our bags and coming back again. We felt so comfortable and Emily has progressed amazingly. Our physiotherapist here at home is totally in awe! Emily is much more relaxed through her legs, and her head control has also improved significantly. We are trying to apply the tips from Daniil and Yagmur here at home.
I have off and dad too, Leni and Hanni have to go to school. At home we get everything ready for Turkey. As promised, Hanni may cut dad’s hair. She opts for a short hairstyle with BD logo for Big Daddy at the back. In the evening there is a school concert of Hanni and Leni in the City Theatre. Hanni plays horn and Leni plays tuba. For me it was already the sixth dolphin therapy back to back. It was a little bit exhausting for me because I was having either physiotherapy or cranial therapy afterwards. The therapy has always helped me very much after six months. Then I was also able to concentrate more easily and to improve my ability to learn. I personally always thought the therapy was super because I could do so much with the dolphins. Read the rest of this entry
We were there!!!! The journey to Turkey was very exciting for us because both kids hadn’t flown on a plane before. Thank God everything worked out without problems.
On the first day we had the meeting with our dolphin-therapist Barbara. She explained which therapies would be executed. There were three therapies, physical therapy, cranio-sacral therapy and of course Luke’s dolphin lady „Daisy“. Read the rest of this entry

The half-paralyzed girl from Neustadt was able to swim with dolphins. The therapy shows its first successes.
The wet snout is tickling Marie’s feet. The six-year old girl is especially ticklish there. No respect is being paid to that. Marie is supposed to simply laugh.
So, it is now time for the Report of our third Dolphin Therapy, from 09.09 – 23.09.2011, in the ONMEGA Dolphin Therapy Center in Marmaris, Turkey!
After the very, very good experiences we had in the Dolphin Therapy Center in 2008 and 2009, we were certain that we would return. In December our bookings were made and we were already looking forward……
On 09.09.2011 at long last the time had come, the aircraft flew us south, to the dolphins !!
As Leon had his therapy bicycle with him this time, we had booked a special Transfer through the Therapy Center, which worked very well. After a short wait we drove from the airport in Dalaman straight to the Club Turban Hotel in Marmaris. We were so pleased with the Hotel last time we decided to stay there again. Everything there is suitable for children and the disabled, and the staff is really kind.
The weather was, apart from 2 rainy afternoons, super; sunshine and a temperature of 40°C, not so hot as in July. Just right for us after the bad Summer we had at home.
After 2 days relaxing on the beach, on Monday we started Leon’s therapy program. We had met Barbara on the platform the day before….. Leon recognized Barbara straight away, we were all happy and the atmosphere was warm and friendly as it had been in previous years. As if we had never left. Read the rest of this entry
First of all, Annika is 13 years old and weighs only 25kg! But she is a pack of muscles, very resilient and mostly very happy!
We booked through Delfintherapiereisen Megasport in Germany. That was very simple. At the beginning of the year I sent an e-mail stating the dates I wanted and travelled at the beginning of the Summer holidays. Megasport sends all the supporting documents per e-mail – one can also print them and fill them out at leisure! As I had a few questions I phoned them up and everything was answered, very nice and friendly. I can recommend that.

Dolphin Therapy presents a very special possibility for mentally and physically disabled children and adults to find new ways to health and/or to alleviate their ailments.
In our Dolphin Therapy Center in Marmaris, Turkey, we offer our patients individually concerted therapies. Contact with our dolphins plays a central role. But a complete therapy is important, which is why Hippo therapy in a riding school, Physiotherapy, Cranio-Sacral and Ergo therapy are integrated in our programme.
We receive many queries from affected parents as also from people interested in therapy. Now and then they are concerned or have reservations, this shows us how important it is to provide information and explanations with respect to Dolphin Therapy.
This prompted us to organize a free Dolphin Therapy online event. We will give first-hand reports on this interesting form of therapy and provide insights and background to our methods of work.

Janina’s Dolphin Therapy in Marmaris turkey from 29.09. – 13.10.2008
My name is Janina and I am 11 years old. Because of my spasticity and weak muscles I visited the dolphins in Marmaris from 29.09. to 13.10. 2008. On Tuesday, one day after we arrived at the Hotel Mares, we began the therapy starting with an introduction to the therapists. My Dad and I had to answer questions concerning my disability. Having recorded all the information they prepared a course of therapies based on my disability.
In the mornings dolphin therapy and in the afternoons speech or physio therapy. On Wednesday morning I had my first therapy session. My dolphin was called Daisy. At first I was anxious about his size but Barbara, my therapist, quickly calmed my fears. She showed me Daisy from the edge of the pool. Read the rest of this entry
